Throughout the summer, Macy’s has been showcasing the extraordinary chefs of the upcoming 2012 Hawai'i Food & Wine Festival, by hosting a series of cooking demonstrations at the Ala Moana location.

Right behind The Tavern at Princeville on Kaua‘i’s North Shore is a 5,000-square-foot garden, robust with kale, arugula, carrots, papaya, tomatoes, eggplants and Hawaiian chili peppers — all of which are harvested by restaurant staff and used in the kitchen.
Like food without seasoning, the Hawai'i Food & Wine Festival would not be the same without Hawaii's most distinguished chef, George "Chef Mavro" Mavrothalassitis. Mavro will be joining fourteen other chefs at the Ko'Olina Resort with Aulani on Sept.

Farming wasn’t on Shin Ho’s list of dream careers.
But now, the 29-year-old, who runs the 50-acre Ho Farms in Kahuku with her family, can’t imagine doing anything else.
Chef Ed Kenney was on hand Saturday at Macy's Ala Moana with his son, Duke, for another cooking demo for the Hawai'i Food & Wine Festival.
They prepared Duke's award-winning "Steak and Poi" dish, featuring such local ingredients as pa'i'ai, Big Island beef from Kuahiwi Ranch, Ho Farm tomatoes and Fred Lum watercress.
Chef Joanne Chang of Flour Bakery+Cafe in Boston will be one of the talented chefs participating in the opening event of the Hawai'i Food & Wine festival, Enter the MODERN Dragon: Morimoto & Friends, held on Sept. 6 at the MODERN Honolulu.
Over the past month, Macy’s has been showcasing the extraordinary chefs who will be dishing up delectable eats at the 2012 Hawai'i Food & Wine Festival by hosting a series of chef demonstrations at their kitchen on level four of their Ala Moana store.
