Know Your Farmer: Mark Suiso of Makaha Mangoes

It was a big weekend for Makaha Mangoes, who hosted its fourth annual Mangoes at the Moana on Saturday at the Moana Surfrider in Waikiki. 

While enjoying all that the mango has to offer, I shot this video of Mark Suiso of Makaha Mangoes talking to Dan Cooke about the characteristics of his favorite mangoes.

Makaha Mangoes is one of the local farms providing produce that attending chefs will be using throughout the Hawai'i Food & Wine Festival. Suiso's wife, Candy, will be among the women farmers and chefs participating in the Girls Got Game Sunday brunch on Sept. 9 at the Hyatt Regency.
