A local boy with a passion for fresh island fare, Chef Lyndon Honda has more than 25 years in the culinary industry and takes a global approach to food, incorporating inspiration from an array of cultures and cuisines including Pacific Rim and Hawai‘i Regional Cuisines, as well as Italian, French, Japanese, Mediterranean, Thai, Filipino and more. After attending the Culinary Institute of the Pacific, Chef Lyndon Honda steadily climbed the industry ladder by executing a number of noteworthy positions. Prior to starting his own private chef and culinary consulting company, Laulima Events and Catering in Maui, Chef Lyndon Honda helped open some of Maui’s most successful restaurants, including Maui Brewing Company, and has worked with popular establishments Aloha Mixed Plate, Pineapple Grill, Old Lahaina Luau and 100 Wines Maui, among others. He also designed the kitchen for acclaimed restaurant Star Noodle in Lahaina, Maui. Chef Lyndon Honda continues to channel his passion and creativity into new roles and is currently serving as executive chef at the Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa, spearheading operations for the resort’s multiple dining establishments.
