Marco Dionysos has spent 20 years mixing drinks in many of the San Francisco’s finest watering holes including ABV, Smuggler’s Cove, Stars, Harry Denton’s Starlight Room, and Michael Mina’s Clock Bar. His cocktail program at Absinthe Brasserie & Bar in 1998 was a leading edge of the cocktail renaissance, featuring classic & vintage cocktails from his extensive library of cocktail books. During his tenure at Smuggler’s Cove, the bar was ranked in the Top 50 Bars in the World six times, and Marco was a Tales of the Cocktail Awards nominee for American Bartender of the Year four times
His cocktails have been featured in Playboy, GQ, Wine Spectator, 7 X 7, Southwest Airlines Spirit Magazine, & Nightclub & Bar Magazine.
Marco is a founding member of the San Francisco Chapter of the United States Bartenders’ Guild, and has represented the United States in cocktail competitions in Spain, Puerto Rico, and Venezuela.
