Having begun his odyssey in the wine industry some 21 years ago, Jason Drew has had the benefit and good fortune to have worked with many notable and respected wine industry veterans. He started in the vineyard working alongside Kirk Grace in the Napa Valley before moving over to Sonoma to manage 70 acres of Bordeaux varieties for the Chalone Wine Group. Jason then earned his Graduate Degree in Oenology at the University of Adelaide, South Australia and then proceeded to work for several wineries including Joseph Phelps, Luna, Konsgard, Corison and Babcock Vineyards. Jason has learned from the soil up how an elegant and balanced wine is ultimately made. He translates all this into what has become Drew.
Located above and just west of the Anderson Valley (3 miles from the Pacific Ocean) in the Mendocino Ridge AVA, Drew remains focused on small lot Pinot Noir and Syrah from far coastal sites on the north coast of California. Recently, he has added a small production of Albarińo to the lineup.
